| Synopsis : | The KL Fringe Festival 2008 is a small arts festival, started by Zubin Mohamad to develope and promote new works and ideas in creative writing, theatre, dance, video and film, visual arts, installation, book publishing etc. Here's the schedule: Week 1 11-13 July Text Performances (mono and poly drama), with works written by Hamzah Tahir, Shahrul Fitri, drzu Mohamad, Francis Tanglao, Marlenny Deen Erwan and Arif Waran. Week 2 16 July (8.30 – 11pm) Screenings of Six Malaysian Short Films by: Fazleena Hishamuddin (Kapal Kertas) Azri Abu Hassan (Kopitiam Kurang Manis) Premier Amirul Amri (Anak-anak Bumi Tercinta) Abror Rivai (Tunggu Aku Seminit Lagi) Bennylita Nasuty Ramlee (Bagai Pungguk Rindukan Bulan) Fahmi Reza(10 Tahun Sebelum Merdeka) Dokumentari 17 – 19 Jul 2008 (8.30 – 10.30pm) The Day I Met the Prince (Kuo Pao Kun) Teater Kanak (Bahasa Inggeris) Universiti Malaya 25 Jul – 2 Aug 2008 (8.30 - 10.30pm) Performance - 7 Drama 7 Duri Sanggar by Teater Fauziah Nawi Week 3 Switch On - Switch Off 3 - 4 Aug 2008 Biography - Dance Documents (Arifwaran) 8 Aug 2008 Mural Jam “Bahasa Jiwa Bangsa” Featuring Azmyl Yunor, Lurks dan Fathulistiwa Soundscapes, among others. ~ Do check out the KL Fringe Festival's BLOG for updates and more information. |

| The latest programmes are on www.klfringefestival.blogspot.com. We have just completed the staging of 6 mono/polidramas from 11-13 July. )n 16 July we are screening 6 shortfilms, including new short - Kopitiam Kurang Manis by Azri Abuhassan.
